Downhill mountainbiking at the Téléphérique with Bike La Grave
La Grave is not a bike park. You won’t find manicured trails with warnings before obstacles or perfectly shaped turns. Instead we can offer you technical and rocky trails that veer next to glaciers, steep singletracks in the forest next to the chamois running beside you, and solitude for an alpine descent of 1780m (5,840ft). You have never experienced lift accessed mountain biking like this before!
Discover the legendary trails of La Grave.
The mountain bike trails accessed by the Télépherique in La Grave are not for the faint of heart. Steep, rocky, exposed, physical, unforgiving, and unforgettable! You have never seen lift accessed trails like this before. In the spirit of La Grave, the downhill trails are not in a traditional bike park style, but are more rugged with natural features. While there are a handful of bridges, berms, and jumps, the trails were designed to leave as much of the mountain feel as possible. Its difficult to describe how incredible the terrain is here, you have to come and experience for yourself!
There are five official trails that descend from the mid station at 2400m to 1420m (and a few more hidden ones that your guide will take you to), and one mega trail, the “King Stone Road” that descends from 3200m to town, a 1780m/5840ft descent. During an average day, we descend around 3700m/12,140ft!
