Get ready for a mountaineering adventure ... Two whole days dedicated to the Mountain in the French Alps, more specially in La Grave at the foot of La Meije. A real chance to learn surrounded with breathtaking landscapes and receive useful tips all weekend long.

 

This gathering is such a great experience to start your journey in mountaineering and climbing. Several exercises are organised on the Girose glacier, at 3200 meters above sea level. To get there, you use the cable cars of Les Téléphériques des Glaciers de la Meije leading you closer to renowned peaks in the Ecrins massif. Nonetheless, the base camp is at La Grave village hall.
Mountaineering professionals will adapt to the different demand and the level of practise in order to welcome beginners and more experienced one. Together, with your group, you will be able to choose the different activities you want to do. This weekend is a real chance! Indeed, being in the company of a professional can create a solid base to your experience and get you motivated to learn more!

THE 2023 PROGRAMME:

Friday the 23rd of June:
4:30pm – 10pm: greeting everyone at the village hall
6:30pm: Briefing

Saturday the 24th of June:
7:45am – 8:15am: gathering at the village hall
8am: the professionals leave to organise the day
8:30am: the rest of the team take the cable cars towards the glacier.
4pm: the end of the different exercises on the glacier.
7pm: diner in the La Grave’s different restaurants.
9:30pm: the sweepstakes at the village hall

Sunday the 25th of June:
8am: the professionals leave to organise the day
8:30am: the rest of the team take the cable cars towards the glacier.
3:30pm: the end of the different exercises on the glacier.

To be aware, for a few years now, due to global warming and the glacier’s movement, the FFME (organisers) has to adapt and adjust the different exercises depending on the conditions and the snow level.
