Ski touring in Les Cerces massif with le Bureau des Guides of La Grave.
A 4 day trip ski touring in marvellous hidden parts of Les Cerces near Serre Chevalier resort and the city of Monetier les Bains
In between Les Ecrins and the Vanoise massif, in between Hautes-Alpes and Savoie, Les Cerces massif, quite esthetique and welcoming, is ideal to live incredible moments away from the crowd. This ski touring trip is perfect to discover this remote part of Les Hautes-Alpes. Away from ski resorts, during 4 days we will ski up several stunning summits, discover beautiful suspended cirques and will take shelter to recharge our batteries in warm and cosy mountain huts. The elevation gain will not be more than 900 metres for an average of 5 hour on the skis per day.
Dates: From the beginning of January to the beginning of April.
Day 1: From le Pont de l'Alpe (1710m), we will ski up the Rif valley right under L'Aiguillette du Lauzet. Then we will go up to the Chardonnet pass (2638m) and ski down to the Refuge Chardonnet (2225m) for the night.
Elevation: +928m and -413m.
Day 2: From the refuge, we will start by the Queyrellin ridge's loop (2890m), where, we will ski up to Casse Blanche ridge (2914m) and the Red Lake. This will lead us to a splendid run down to the Clarée's Valley. At that point, to go to our next stop for the night, the refuge Ricou (2115m), we will only have to ski up for a very short period of time.
Dénivelé: +689m and -799m.
Day 3: From the refuge, we are heading to Le Pic du Lac Blanc (2980m), skiing by two different lakes, Serpent and Laramon. We will then arrive at the Grand Cros Pass (2848m) to follow the ridge up to the summit. From here, a nice run down of nearly a 1000m will lead us to the Refuge Laval (2030m).
Elevation: +865m and -950m
Day 4: From the refuge, we will be heading towards le Lac des Béraudes (2504m) and will ski up to its pass (2770m). And this will lead us to our last run down of the trip back to le Pont de l'Alpe.
Elevation: +740m and -1060m.
