Ski touring with mountain guides

Touring on skis or snowboard is a unique experience where you access to runs far from the crowds. Single to multiple day tours, easy or difficult, everyone can find a tour suiting his/her desires and abilities.

Day tours, try one of the great classics : Vallon du Fontenil, Trois Evêchés, Pic Blanc, Combeynot…

Multiple day tours of 2 to 4 days : in the mountain ranges of the Cerces, Ecrins, Queyras, the tour of Viso…

Tour of La Meije

The mighty Meije is the most stunning mountain of the Oisans mountain range. The tour of La Meije involves all the exciting elements of ski touring in the high
mountain environment. Descending steep couloirs, traversing high passes, crossing vast glaciers, not to mention spending nights in warm refuges perched high in the mountains, makes this trip an unforgettable journey around the Râteau and the Meije.

D1: Col de la Lauze, Brèche du Râteau, Promontoire hut.

D2: Brèche de la Meije, Serret du Savon, Aigle hut.

D3: Ascent of the Meije Orientale , and descent on Tabuchet or Homme Glacier.

It is possible to do this as a 2 day tour.

Replat-Bérarde Traverse

An exceptional traverse and descent starting in La Grave, traversing two passes, three glaciers and includes breathtaking skiing at the foot of the immense South Face of the Meije, finishing in La Berarde, an isolated village in the heart of this mountain range.

Probably one of the best experiences you can get on skis. By traversing three passes at an altitude of more than 3400m, and completing a tour of the Râteau, this tour finishes by an amazing descent of the Enfetchores: a 2000m glacial descent beneath the mighty North Face of la Meije, occasionally involving rope work on a few technical sections. This is a long and demanding day. You need to be in excellent shape!

Grandes Rousses Traverse

Also one of the better and most varied ski experiences. Starting at the Pic Blanc, the highest top of the Alpe d’Huez ski domain, this itinerary traverses beautiful glaciers at over 3000m before reaching the foot of the Pic de l’Etendard. After some great skiing the tour ends in the picturesque village of Vaujany.

Dômes du Mônetier Traverse

This fantastic day tour starts from the top of the lift system in Serre Chevalier and involves challenging ski mountaineering and a great ski descent at over 3500m on the Mônetier glaciers, facing the splendour of Pelvoux and the Barre des Ecrins.

La Grave – Chamonix

This is an exceptional ski safari taking you through the most beautiful off piste runs of the Alpine arc, connecting the two major off piste skiing domains of France. We ski with a light pack (nights and meals in the valleys); taxis and ski lifts link the trip together.

The guide bureau offers weekly ski tours in the entire Alpine Arc; classics like Chamonix-Zermat, Gran Paradiso, Monte Rosa, Oberland, Ortless and Silvretta…or trust us to put together an unforgettable touring week.

We will glady answer any questions you may have.
