Basketwork of La Meije - Internships and workshops

I braid wicker to make traditional or creative objects. I propose to discover the pleasure of weaving wicker, the touch of wood, the smell, its colors through different courses...

 

Several formulas possible:

-Basketry lessons - upcoming dates -
Feel free to ask me to open an internship session for you and your friends or family. Maximum of 3/4 persons per lessons.

-Discovery / Introduction / one day (approx. 6h) : Learn the basics of wicker basketry. Creation of a basket.

-Discovery / Introduction / 2 days (approx. 14h): You'll make a round basket.

-Course to learn the openwork, for the most initiated / 2 days (about 14h): It is important to understand the basics of wicker basketry to learn openwork. Creation of a strawberry basket.

-Plant Architecture course
Discovery / Introduction: Creation of a braided hedge or/and a wicker-braided hut.

The material is provided. (If you already have your own tools, don't hesitate to bring them back.) Meals are shared.

Possibilities to make animations or demonstrations of basketry for all public / duration 1h, 1/2 Day, 1 day and two days.
