Like many of the hamlets of the Pays de La Meije, the Chazelet has kept the tradition of 'black bread' by making twice a year 'La fête du pain' in the traditional banal oven of the village.

Since the 15th century, the tradition of the Bread Festival continues thanks to the inhabitants of the village.

You can visit the oven to discover the remains of the tools used at the time for making bread. Your host will also tell you about the little manufacturing secrets, which are still used today in August (the 15th) as well as in November.
