The holy Anne Oratory of Le Chazelet
The Saint-Anne Oratory of Chazelet has tree stars in the MICHELIN Green Guide. It offers a magnificent view over the Meije Massif.
The oratory is right by the road between the hamlets of Terrasses and Chazelet. It overlooks the valley.
Opposite the oratory, a little above the road, there is an orientation table, featuring both the north side of the Meije and the south side, looking out towards Le Chazelet and the Savoy region.
Next to the oratory, there is a viewing platform that is suspended over the void.
Accessible with a 10 min. drive from La Grave or a 30-45 min. walk on the GR54.
Overtures :
All year round, daily.
Bon Repos Chapel
The Chapel Notre-Dame de Bon Repos stands on a promontory along the path connecting the Chazelet village to Les Fréaux.
Its date of construction is uncertain, but it probably dates back to the eighteenth century.
It is a place of worship and memory.
Viewing Platform facing la Meije

Picnicing in the mountains
Here are some ideas for high-altitude picnics, with a view that you will remember long after the final crumbs have been swept away. You’ll find grassy slopes for doing somersaults and plenty of altitude sun to help you digest the fine Oisans produce.
