Lake of Lauvitel

Located at an altitude of 1530 metres, the Lauvitel lake is the largest lake in the Ecrins massif and can be reached from the hamlet of La Danchère.

 

The Lauvitel integral reserve was created in 1995 on the heights of the commune of Bourg d'Oisans
Its aim is 'to monitor the natural dynamics of ecosystems
For a long time the only integral reserve in a French national park, it has become the reference in this field in France.
